Frequently Asked Questions -
What is the average investment?
We understand every couple has a specific vision and needs for their special day. This is why we offer individual quotes instead of set prices for set quantities here at East Birch Studios. Quotes are largely based on the quantities requested. As a standard rule of thumb, the more you order - the price per suite goes down at base costs. Like, letterpress plates, are spread out across a greater quantity which brings costs down.
For a semi-custom design, we have found an allocated amount of $3,000 for 100 qty invitation suites to be the "sweet spot". This allows couples to invest in luxury paper and printing (i.e. letterpress, handmade paper), as well as additional add-ons like silk ribbons and wax seals.
For a custom design, we will create a personalized quote based on our discussions & your needs! We recommend setting anywhere from $4,000 - $6,000.
What kind of paper & printing methods do you offer?
Print methods -
We specialize in letterpress printing, embossing and debossing, and digital printing. We love working with all couples to select the best print method based off their personal and wedding aesthetic as well as allocated amount.
Papers -
We loving working with handmade paper, cotton card stock, and vellum for the best luxuriously handcrafted results.
How far in advance should I inquire?
It is never too early to submit an inquiry and reserve your date! We typically book most couples 6 to 12 months in advance depending on if a Save the Date is requested. To enjoy the full collaborative process and avoid any rush fees, we recommend reserving 3 months to design and produce your invitation suite.
When should I be mailing out my Save the Dates & Invitation Suites?
For local weddings -
We recommend sending a Save the Date 6 to 8 months prior. We recommend sending an invitation suite 8-10 weeks before the wedding with an RSVP date of 1 month before the wedding.
For destination weddings -
We recommend sending a Save the Date 8 to 12 months prior with a website link guests can refer to as they make travel arrangements. For the wedding invitation suite, we recommend sending this to your guests 3 to 4 months in advance with an RSVP date of 6 weeks before the wedding.
Do you work with international couples?
Absolutely! We can also design suites for you in any language. We do recommend allowing extra time for shipping overseas.
